"Parents" or Rather Astroturf Groups

are looking at "parent trigger" laws that can force local schools to close and set up charters in their place. If the charters are shit, and the vast majority of them are, parents can't put a trigger on them and convert them back.

There was a reason why there were and are protections for teachers, and that is because they give grades to students. Unlike private schools where teachers are routinely told to change student grades so that the parents don't pull their kids out, public school teachers have a bit more protection.

At least in most cases they do. It depends on how supportive the principal is. There are times, however, when principals will put pressure on teachers to change grades to appease a parent. If a teacher stands his or her ground, the teacher usually is railroaded out of the district and a career.

"Parent trigger" laws are just junk. It figures fake Democrats like Cory Booker and L.A. mayor back this horseshit.
