Obituary: The actress who played in the remake of The Bad News Bears was killed in a car accident. Sammi Kane Kraft was only twenty years old:
According to California Highway Patrol, Kraft was a passenger in an Audi that was "traveling at a high rate of speed" on the westbound 10 Freeway near Crenshaw Boulevard about 1:30 a.m., when it rear-ended a big rig and was then hit by another car.
The driver, Molly Kate Adams, 21, and Kraft were both trapped inside the vehicle before taken to two separate hospitals. Adams was treated for moderate injuries at California Hospital Medical Center and arrested on suspicion of felony drunk driving. Kraft was transported to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.
Adams will do prison time for this if it is proven she was drunk.
