I now live in Oregon, which has mail-in voting, and received my ballot today, just a few days after I received the bulky Voters' Pamplet.
Apart from the presidential race, I voted straight Democratic. Just as I said I was going to do, I filled in the bubble next to Rocky Anderson's name, and, when I finished with my ballot, I mailed it in.
Obama committed a few offenses which to me are absolute deal-breakers and should be to any thinking Democrat or American: his willingness to destroy federal social programs like Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid in order to make deals with the political party he REALLY belongs to, the Republicans, in the name of some insane "austerity" agenda; his bailing out of Wall Street crooks instead of jailing them; his virtually nonexistent jobs policy while preferring to waste political capital on a white elephant of a health care "reform" package; and, most outrageous and unforgivable of all, his reckless destruction of public education in the United States through his idiot secretary of education. These far outweigh concerns about the USSC (which was compromised a long time ago), abortion, the makeup of the equally worthless Congress, or anything else. I cannot and I WILL NOT vote for a Republican posing as a Democrat and is in fact much to the right of many Republicans. He has done more than anybody else to tarnish the Democratic Party brand. I want nothing to do with him.
I think he will be worse in his second term, assuming he gets it. That's even more scary than Mitt getting the job if such a thing is possible.
