Sadly, the end appears to be near for former fighter Hector "Macho" Camacho, 50, after having been shot in the face. He has been declared "brain dead."

Camacho was considered a volatile but popular and skilled boxer who battled drugs, alcohol and other problems. He had a career record of 79-6-3.


My dad and I used to watch some of his fights many years ago.
