Never mind the reality that the vast majority of adult prostitutes start out in this "life" as children or in their early teens, and never mind the vast majority were sexually abused.
After all, it's a choice.
I blame that birdbrained libertarian attitude on Phil Donahue, Geraldo Rivera, and others in their talk shows in the 1970s and 1980s for this distorted idea that prostitution is somehow a "victimless crime" and it is a valid "career" choice instead of the human rights violation it really is.
