Today promises to be a doozy, with Alyce LaViolette continuing her direct testimony, and with the motion for a mistrial discussed, thanks to an idiot juror who decided to blab what she thought of the defendant and the trial.
Trial will resume at 9:30 this morning PDT.
Update: Rumor abounds what is going on in chambers. Since Travis's family has been called in, speculation is running rampant there will either be a mistrial called or a plea deal will be struck.
I wish it didn't come to this because it was clear to me at this point Jodi would be acquitted or get manslaughter.
Update 2: Trial is back on, with no mistrial or plea deal. Juror #5 was dismissed. Alyce LaViolette is talking about the emails.
Update 3: That was interesting to say the least. Jodi's journal entries and emails from Travis to others were discussed today at length. The best part was when LaViolette talked about Mr. Virgin's extensive deception with all of the women he was involved with.
She even listed the names of "many" or "most" of the women: Krischelle (not sure of the spelling), Regan, Nicole, Denise, Caitanya, Maria, Deanna, Jodi, Lisa, Matilda, Krista. There was also evidence he was trash-talking other girlfriends to Jodi by calling them crazy so as to keep them away from each other lest they find out he was a womanizing jerk. She even mentioned money Travis borrowed from Deanna and especially from Sky Hughes, but prosecutor Juan Martinez was able to have his objections sustained. It doesn't matter; it's all out there in public where the world knows he wasn't the financial success he claimed he was.
Trial can be viewed at the Arizona Republic website, among live streams or can be viewed here on the blog:
