Nevada governor Brian Sandoval blew it big time when he appointed James W. Guthrie as state superintendent of instruction.
The problem is the replacement isn't likely to do better.
The biggest problem in Nevada with regard to education has to do with funding; however, all of the emphasis now is on trashing teachers and undercutting the very, very, very few protections they have down there.
