Update 4:30 PDT: Jury went home today. No verdict. Deliberations resume at 10 a.m.
As I type this, the jury is supposed to be deliberating the case.
You can read those jury instructions here.
We will see if the jury is actually interested in justice, in which case should be an outright acquittal, or whether they are interested in saving face or are tainted, which is anything other than acquittal.
This is why you have to have sequestered juries in capital cases; there is no way they haven't been looking at television coverage, newspapers, or online media.
And then you have these alleged Travis Alexander supporters, and I say "alleged" because I don't think they care two shits about him, doing the absolutely SICK thing and having VIGILS, fasting, and prayer that Jodi Arias gets the death penalty. That goes for his family as much as strangers, for, after all, Travis had nothing to do with the rest of his family the last four years of his life with the sole exception of his grandmother. However, I think the family feels the way they do because they feel guilt over their having never reconciled.
It is sick to its core.
