because things are so bad in the United States now, the "drybacks" from the Rust Belt and other depressed parts of the country are canoeing across the Rio Grande into Mexico, now that the country's economy is improving a great deal. That is if immigrants from the United States, legal or not, don't get stuck in the middle of drug wars and murders for a shot (no pun intended) at a better life.
Of course many of the immigrants going to Mexico were from the country in the first place and decided to return.
It's all a race to the bottom, and the neolibs just LOVE this shit since they aren't affected in any way possible.
