It is NOT a matter of "school safety" the tragedy at Sparks Middle occurred. It is a matter of parental NEGLIGENCE.
Enforcing the law and making an example out of Jose Reyes' parents is a start. The LAST thing we want is to turn schools into prisons because some nitwitted parents didn't lock their gun and ammo away or even tell their child they even had a gun.
