Some idiot Oregon principal wants to make graduation contingent on students applying for and being accepted into a college or trade school.
There are already too many people applying and going to colleges as it is for what few jobs there are already.
We need to have jobs, the vast majority of jobs, that don't require any post-secondary education pay a LOT more so that people can actually have careers in those fields.
This is just a giant ego trip by a principal who is trying to make a name for himself.
Besides, as some commenters noted, the students invariably have to pay an application fee, maybe more than one, to be accepted into a college.
