If you're a Nevada teacher, you are going to be screwed. Hell, if you are a principal and are in the tiny minority who are actually competent, YOU too will be screwed.
It's all about saving money on pensions and benefits.
Federal Department of Education officials announced in June 2013 that they were open to pushing back implementation timelines. Out of the 34 states that were eligible for an extension, 12 applied, and Nevada and Mississippi were the first to be approved.
The federal scheme needs to be junked. It's unconstitutional.
