Maybe the Feud Was Overblown After All

Actress Olivia de Havilland, 97, issued a statement regarding the death of her sister Joan Fontaine, who died yesterday at the age of 96. She said she was shocked and saddened upon hearing the news.

The 97-year-old longtime resident of Paris said in a statement Monday that she was grateful for the "expressions of sympathy."

I really hope the stories were overblown. They might not have been close, but a lot of siblings are that way.

Whatever the truth, it's clear to me both sisters were victims of a highly manipulative mother who pitted one sister against the other. Lillian Fontaine was very toxic.
