Your Chances of Being Murdered Are Far Greater Than Winning the MegaMillions Lottery

Now the jackpot will go up to over a half a billion dollars for Tuesday, but the chances of winning ANY prize, let alone the biggest one, are getting more and more remote.

That's because MegaMillions changed the lottery to where now there are more numbers to choose from, which in turn creates far fewer winners but much bigger jackpots.

The odds against people winning the big prize are double what they were prior to the October changes.

I used to have better luck at the MegaMillions jackpot than Powerball, but now I rarely play either. The Oregon Megabucks is even worse; I rarely if ever hit even one number on it, so I have given up on it.
