Game show host Jim Lange of The Dating Game notoriety has died. He was 81 years old.
Lange was in radio for years before Chuck Barris or whoever the producer was who hired him in 1965 to host the long-running game show.
Eventually the show went (further) downhill as the content got dirtier, kind of like what happened with sister program The Newlywed Game.
A number of contestants went on to greater fame including actress Farrah Fawcett and serial killer Rodney Alcala.
