The reason teachers act like such wusses is because they are afraid of losing their jobs if they speak up. After all, if they are fired, it is almost impossible to find another teaching job thanks to widespread blackballing.
It isn't hard to figure out. The privatizers feel they can run roughshod over teachers, and teachers by and large let them.
