It's an awful thing to think about, but most people alive today have NO firsthand memory at all of the last three Triple Crown winners and their races. For those who were directly involved with the champions Secretariat, Seattle Slew, and Affirmed, those races happened is if they happened yesterday.
For me it certainly seems like it was yesterday. Then I was young, and now I am close to sixty. It's sickening how quickly time has gone.
I hope Saturday turns out great for California Chrome and his connections.
