However, to read this report you'd think it was all Pedro Martinez's fault he didn't have the right demeanor or the right "attitude" when dealing with this lawless board.
Furthermore, they can't unilaterally "void" anything--the investigation by the attorney general is still going on.
They admit to no wrongdoing; this outfit never does when the board or its administrators screw up.
What the real problem is you have three newer board members who have NO understanding of what a school board trustee's job entails, have NO understanding of what a school superintendent's job is, and have browbeat the other three members into submission to further their own ambitions. A school trustee is responsible for "the big overall picture" of the school district while the superintendent is responsible for the day-to-day operations of that district. What these board members believe is Pedro Martinez needs to tell them everything he does and tell him what to do and how to do it. It's like he has to raise his hand and ask the board permission to go to the bathroom.
Micromanagers are the very, very worst employers.
Edit: I finally corrected the spelling of "solely." I knew there was something wrong with the way I wrote it, but I was too lazy to look it up.
