Washoe County School District Gossip

Outgoing superintendent Pedro Martinez will get more than a half million dollars in his settlement with the district. All told, WCSD will cough up more than 700k total for its illegal actions of July 22.

That amount includes the attorneys' fees on both sides. The district's insurance carriers will pay for most of it.

Total: $711,415

Insurance covers: $576,000

School district pays: $135,415

Meanwhile, the public will be treated to a public groveling next Tuesday when the district's former police chief goes in front of the Board to try and get his old job back, a job he thinks he deserves because he had been there a long time.

He's another entitled moron who is going to use a public meeting to possibly defame Martinez.
