It's just amazing to me that, long after the notion vaccines are a cause of "autism," which quite frankly has been used as a catchall term (often used in place of mental retardation because MR has more stigma attached), the notion persists regardless of no evidence of any connection.
The fraud really belongs in the pantheon of scientific hoaxes and frauds. However, unlike Piltdown Man, the anti-vaccination propaganda has done a lot of damage to public health, witness recent events with measles outbreaks.
The article linked is about the quack who peddled the vaccine-autism link, only to be exposed and his medical license stripped.
