Obituary: Bess Myerson
Baby boomers well remember Bess Myerson not just because she was involved in consumer affairs but also as a regular game show panelist. She was a regular on I've Got a Secret. She first came to prominence as the first Jewish Miss America.
Bess Myerson died on December 14, but it was just announced today. She was 90.
She had a long and varied career, including a failed bid for the U.S. Senate. She also was the focus of a scandal. She was acquitted of that only to bogged down with a shoplifting arrest.
