that people who work hard all their lives and wind up with nothing but setbacks that are out of their control, but people who have everything going for them--money, fame, the whole nine yards--fuck up their lives completely and totally?

At least he didn't get away with it:

Former New England Patriots star Aaron Hernandez looked on impassively Wednesday as he was sentenced to life without the possibility of parole, a new low for a young man who once enjoyed a $40 million pro-football contract and now stands convicted in the 2013 murder of onetime friend Odin Lloyd.

A complete and total waste of a life.
