I don't know why writers continue to get published or magazines like Outside continue publishing articles about reckless idiots like stunt jumper Dean Potter who die doing selfish, illegal, and reckless stunts.
Lionizing these idiots, including the likes of Steve Irwin, who also engaged in recklessness for a living, is just beyond the pale.
It's worse when writers lionize these losers on a holiday weekend when we are supposed to remember those who died defending their country regardless of whether a war was justified.
