So what of the views of a bunch of young snobs? The insinuation of this article is only the "best and brightest" go to Haavaad (forget nitwits like George II and Arne Duncan) and therefore their religious beliefs of lack of them mean something.
They don't. Many if not most young people have no religious belief.
When they get older, they will change. That is a given. The older you are, the more likely you will be religious. Very few people will be atheists in old age. A few will be agnostics. The rest will embrace religion. It is really a natural state of human beings. Atheism is not. That is because of having more life experience and especially experiencing the deaths of loved ones. You realize there has to be more to life than just the here and now. When you are young, you think you know it all and have all of the answers or you think science has all of the answers but it doesn't and never will.
Atheists deny it, but they have a belief system as dogmatic as the most fundamentalist Christian. Indeed, atheism is the flip side of religious fundamentalism, especially with their belief that science and religion are incompatible. In fact they are not.
