This NR article isn't entirely wrong but does muddy up a few things.
Feminists, the real ones and not these third-wave fakers, have nothing to do with the rise in transgenderism. They are, in fact, against it for a variety of reasons. "Women's studies" don't exist anymore because the postmodernist/queer theory garbage overtook it. One has to realize that sexual liberation ideas have nothing to do with the movement for women's rights--the truth is "sexual liberation" is mostly a male idea of wanting unlimited sexual access and freedom without regard to the feelings of women. This is why these guys are big on pornography and prostitution, things real feminists have been against for decades because they are human rights abuses.
The internet, especially internet porn, has a lot to do with this postmodernist garbage being more visible.
Postmodernism is not liberalism or progressivism. It has much more in common with libertarianism, which is why at bottom it is wrongheaded.
