Serving in the military is a privilege, not a right. Anybody with a medical or psychiatric issue is automatically disqualified from the military, and that includes even people with cavities and flat feet. Nobody can argue with a straight face transgenders don't have medical and psychiatric issues that make them unsuitable for the military.The ACLU sounds like it is on the take by the likes of the transgender/transhumanist crowd like Pritzker and Rothblatt. They are just as wrongheaded on this issue as they are about porn, when the ACLU got sizeable handouts from porn moguls and sleazebags like Hugh Hefner fostering bogus "free speech" arguments. link
