It never ceases to amaze me how twisted women on the right--hell, most women--have been raised to think they are absolutely nothing unless they are an appendage to other people and not people in their own right.
You'd think this poison of traditional sex roles and the pushing of marriage would have gone by the wayside in the 1970s, when I was a young woman, but no. This bullshit is still being instilled on women FORTY YEARS LATER.
Of course these men are going to treat these women badly, in real life as well as online, especially if those women veer at all from the marriage-and-babies life script. These women need to read Andrea Dworkin's classic book about women on the right called Right-Wing Women. It's arguably her best, most accessible work, since unlike most of her other books she doesn't spend a lot of time on literary analysis and gets to the point. Her chapter on abortion is perhaps the best overview and analysis I have yet read about the 1960s and the attitude of the male left.
However, I hold little hope for these alt-right women ever to reject years of indoctrination into their femininity sex role and actually believe they can be fully functioning human beings without some man around to validate them.
