Saturday Reads

Women are being insulted and infantilized through breast cancer awareness campaigns.

I went ahead and downloaded the book, Fire and Fury, yesterday. I didn't want to wait to get the hard copy. I almost always get the hard copy of a book I want. It will take me a few days to read it. From what I have read so far, it is one hell of a book. Not to mention whatever influence the Russians had in the vote, it appears EVERYBODY except Steve Bannon was shocked Trump won the 2016 election. Technically, of course, he didn't win it but for the quirks of the Electoral College, but it was still a huge shock.

Trump, as I have always said, never ran that campaign to win. He didn't think he was ever going to win. Melania was planning on a normal life because she DIDN'T want him to win. Imagine how horrified she was she was going to be in the spotlight, something she never wanted to be but instead simply live a life out of the public glare and raise her son. Donald was and is hardly ever around for them anyway.

I am about 40 pages into the book, and I can't wait to read the rest of it.
