A Week in Yosemite--Day Two

Tomorrow will be the first day being actually in the park.  I will take lots of pictures and video, and I will post them to this site, if not tomorrow, then sometime in the near future.

Chromebook is a lot different than Windows.  Not only that, but one of my cameras, my new one, has WiFi in it, so that plus having a Chromebook may make it harder to post images while I am here.  I also have my SLR, but it doesn't have WiFi built in.  Same issue with getting images onto Chromebook.

Today was mostly lectures about the geology, flora, and fauna of Yosemite.  The speaker, Shirley Spencer, is nothing short of fantastic.  She has been teaching about Yosemite for 39 years and seemingly knows almost everything there is to know about the park.  I did decide to skip the evening lecture because I am still so wiped out over the disastrous bus trip of yesterday, and I needed to rest up for the long, long day ahead tomorrow.

Just for the lectures and meals alone, this trip is worth it.  As I have said, going in a program like this one, Road Scholar, is really the best way to see the national parks and to take it all in.
