Obituary: Nancy Barbato Sinatra, an impressive 101, the first ex-wife of Ol' Blue Eyes, has died. She and Frank met when they were in their teens, in 1934, and they married in 1939. Nancy was the mother of his three children, Frank, Nancy, and Tina. Nancy never remarried and outlived both her son and her ex-husband.
I suspect the real reason the marriage went kaput wasn't so much because of Ava Gardner entering the picture as was they were very young when they married. Frank was known to be one of the most infamous of Hollywood womanizers before last wife Barbara Marx got her claws into him and put him on a tight leash. Even so, Nancy and Frank remained close over the years. There was no bitterness on her part.
According to a tweet posted by Sinatra’s daughter Nancy, she died Friday. “My mother passed away peacefully tonight at the age of 101. She was a blessing and the light of my life. Godspeed, Momma. Thank you for everything,” Nancy wrote. The cause and location of death was not released._____
