The Cluelessness of Governor Brown
I am referring to Oregon's Kate Brown, not current and past California governor Jerry Brown here in this rant.
If she loses Tuesday's vote, not likely although all polls indicate the election will be close, it won't be for the reasons given in the linked piece.
Brown has been hated almost ever since she took the office held by Kitzhaber, who resigned amid scandal having to do with the idiot golddigging "fiancee" he has been shacked up with for years and years. I believe there is one reason only for the hate.
If Brown is defeated this Tuesday, I will tell you why. She has been hated chiefly for one reason, and that is because of the stupidity she exhibited by declaring herself to be "openly bisexual." This is perhaps the stupidest move ever made by a politician running for office. First of all, what does this even MEAN? She is NOT "bisexual" currently-she is married to a man and a stepmother. By declaring herself "openly bisexual," she is saying what she has is an "open marriage"-she is actively cheating on her husband with other women. What else could it be? She is really clueless of the effect of making such a dumb declaration. A few experiences with women years ago doesn't declare her to be "bisexual" in any meaningful sense. She has been married to Dan Little for 21 years. Why brag about presumably long-ago lesbian experiences? Does she realize how damaging this is?
Everything else is secondary to this. In fact, the "reasons" of taxes, immigration, PERS, and all the rest are to cover up disdain over her "open bisexuality." Even brazen sexism about her "demeanor" is secondary to this.
Your sex life should be no issue at all and certainly not some kind of dubious badge of honor.
