The Women Standing Up series of events have been going on all week, pointing to the real problems with "gender identity" legislation.  Since there was no advance announcement of when the events would be, there was very little in the way of protests. Some of more conservative media reported the various events, while the so-called "left" media were the usual gaslighting, lying bullshit such as this article.

The death toll from the deep freeze from the eastern U.S. is now at 21.

Supposedly, Oregon is supposed to be getting snow next week.  I am not looking forward to the prospect and hope whatever snow there is will be confined to the upper elevations.

I assume the Equality Act will not pass the Senate (60 votes required) nor survive Boss Tweet’s pen. Which is excellent.

As to the anti-vax campaigns, they’re not all equal just as not all conspiracy theories are equal. Most vaccines have proven very ineffective, if not useless, or they have arrived AFTER a disease has already been on the wane. As to the measles situation, I have no idea one way or the other. But again, it’s all about research and evidence, and both anti-vaxxers and conspiracy theorists often have file cabinets filled with both... much of it convincing.
