The big story of the past day was the huge earthquake centered in the southern California city of Ridgecrest.  In this link, many people were confused about the faultline being the San Andreas Fault, but this quake was way to the south, where there are a number of smaller faults.

The Continental Army suffered the bitter winter of Valley Forge, found glory across the waters of the Delaware, and seized victory from Cornwallis of Yorktown.
