Former head of the Fed Paul Volcker, 92, has died.

In his last official post, as chairman of President Barack Obama’s Economic Recovery Advisory Board, formed in response to the 2008 financial crisis, he persuaded lawmakers to impose new restrictions on big banks — a measure known as the “Volcker Rule.”
Mr. Volcker interlaced his long stretches of public service with a lucrative career on Wall Street, most prominently as chief executive of the investment bank Wolfensohn & Company.
The death toll has gone up in the New Zealand volcano eruption.

Obit: Actor Robert Walker, Jr., seen on many shows back in the 1960s, has died. He was 79 and died at his home in Malibu.
Walker was one of two sons of actors Robert Walker and Jennifer Jones back when they were unknowns and before Jones dumped Walker Senior for producer David O. Selznick. Walker Senior never really got over it and he died very young, only 32, in 1951. Both of the sons looked just like him.
Robert Jr.'s brother, Michael, was also an actor. He passed away in 2007.
Robert Walker Jr. was born on April 15, 1940, in Queens, New York, and educated in the U.S. and Europe. He trained at the Actors Studio, appeared on episodes of Route 66 and Naked City in 1962 and made his film debut as a private in The Hook (1963), a Korean War film starring Kirk Douglas._____
He played Laurence Harvey's brother in the crime drama The Ceremony (1963), receiving a Golden Globe for most promising male newcomer, and starred off-Broadway in 1964 in I Knock at the Door and Pictures in the Hallway.
He later appeared with John Wayne in The War Wagon (1967), with Celeste Yarnall in Eve (1968) and with Rita Hayworth in Road to Salina (1970).
