Another cold case has been solved through genetic genealogy.  This one is in Oregon:

A man was arrested on murder charges Monday, linked to a two-decade-old homicide case by forensic genetic genealogy analysis.

Christopher Lovrien, 52, was arrested by the U.S. Marshall’s Service on May 4 and charged with the murder of Portland resident Mark Dribin.

Dribin was reported missing on July 6, 1999. Police searched the 42-year-old Dribin’s home and his recovered vehicle and found “suspicious circumstances,” however, he remained missing.
