I would say part of the motive is these idiots want a theocracy, but basically what they want is a return to the idiot 1950s, an era where white males had all the control and all the "good" jobs while yammering women and minorities needed to know their "place."

He had discussed setting up a terrorist training camp, shared bomb-making information and vehemently opposed a proposed merger with the Atomwaffen Division, another accelerationist group that endorses violence.

It's not just adolescents; it is also males especially with personality disorders or mental illnesses. These males are particularly easily targeted because they cannot understand the world as it is. Since they don't fit in, they think it is the outside world that is in the wrong and not the fact they have mental disorders.
