Stick a Fork in Jerry Falwell, Jr.

To update an old Christopher Hitchens comment:  "Give Jerry Falwell, Jr., an enema and he might fit on the head of a pin.

He doesn't have enough sense to keep his big mouth shut.  He blames everybody for his stupid actions.

And now it appears Granda made good on his threat to expose Falwell's hypocrisy and scandal.  He told the UK Daily Mail he had an affair with Falwell's wife, Becki, for SIX years, from 2012 to 2018, often when Falwell himself was in the room, watching.

Falwell sounds a lot like Jimmy Swaggart, who reportedly had a host of sexual perversions or kinks or whatever you want to call them. From the Reuters report, from which the DM excerpted:

Granda showed Reuters emails, text messages and other evidence that he says demonstrate the sexual nature of his relationship with the couple, who have been married since 1987. “Becki and I developed an intimate relationship and Jerry enjoyed watching from the corner of the room,” Granda said in an interview. Now 29, he described the liaisons as frequent – “multiple times per year” – and said the encounters took place at hotels in Miami and New York, and at the Falwells’ home in Virginia.

His friendship with the Falwells eventually soured, Granda told Reuters, in part because he wanted to dissolve his ties with the couple and fell into a business dispute with them.

Granda first emerged as a figure in the Falwells’ circle two years ago, when BuzzFeed News reported that the couple had befriended Granda and gone into business with him, buying a Miami Beach youth hostel in 2013. At the time of the BuzzFeed article, a representative of the Falwell family said Granda was “offered a share” in Alton Hostel LLC because Granda lived in Miami and would act as a manager of the youth hostel. Corporate records show that Granda currently has a stake in that venture.

Falwell, Jr., through attorneys, categorically denies the allegations.

I think we can say Falwell's days have come and gone.

His dad would spin in his grave over his wayward son.

Jerry Falwell Jr., the embattled president of Liberty University, resigned from the school Monday amid reports of an alleged years-long sexual relationship that he and his wife had with a business partner, according to multiple media reports.

Falwell’s reported resignation came just hours after Reuters published an interview with a man who said he was involved in a years-long relationship with the evangelical leader's wife, Becki Falwell.

Giancarlo Granda told Reuters that he met Jerry and Becki Falwell while working as a pool attendant at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach hotel in March 2012. Starting that month and continuing into 2018, Granda told Reuters that the relationship involved him having sex with Becki Falwell while Jerry Falwell looked on.

While Liberty spokesman Scott Lamb originally told CNN Falwell would resign, he now says that Board leadership have been in discussion with Jerry Falwell and expect to be able to make a statement on Tuesday.

But Falwell denied that he was resigning, telling Virginia Business that the report was "completely false."

The confusion over Falwell's fate comes after a series of recent public controversies about his behavior.

A Miami man is saying he had an eight-year affair with Falwell Jr.'s wife after he met the couple at a Miami hotel. In a statement to CNN, Falwell Jr., acknowledged the affair.
