 Hasn't the Daily Mail ever heard of a photo-op?  Moreover, Pete isn't going to bicycle by himself from South Bend, Indiana, to prove his point about alternate forms of transportation.  Besides, given what happened at the Capitol building in January, officials can't too careful regarding security.
