Obituary:  Author and scholar Priscilla McMillan, 92, the only person in history to have actually conferred with both JFK and his killer Lee Harvey Oswald, has died.  She died on July 7, years after suffering a fall which left her disabled.

She wrote the highly regarded book, Marina and Lee, which my mother had read and recommended to me.  I have read part of it but not all of it.  I think I forget to continue reading it.

Several other people had briefly encountered both men, but Ms. McMillan had conferred with both. She had dealt with Kennedy in Washington as an adviser on Indochina in 1953, when he was a senator.

And as a journalist, she had interviewed Mr. Oswald, a 20-year-old disillusioned Marine veteran, in Moscow in 1959 about why he was defecting to the Soviet Union.

She would later spend seven months interviewing Mr. Oswald’s Russian-born widow, Marina, and 13 years researching and writing a book, “Marina and Lee: The Tormented Love and Fatal Obsession Behind Lee Harvey Oswald’s Assassination of John F. Kennedy,” which was published in 1977.

Mrs. Oswald received two-thirds of the advance for the book and a share of the royalties.

Hopefully the teenage employee will lose her job over this.  She belongs in jail, not working in a store.

My nephew and his wife recently moved to near La Pine, Oregon, and I visited them yesterday at their new place, but fortunately they are not threatened by the massive Bootleg Fire, which is to the east of them.

We get it:  fetishistic, perverted men's rights are "human rights."  Women exist only as objects to them to sexually abuse and mock.
