 Obituary:  Longtime soap actor Michael Nader, best remembered for playing the major love interest--and husband--of Joan Collins' character Alexis on the 1980s hit Dynasty, passed away on August 23, his wife announced.  He was 76 and had been very recently diagnosed with an incurable cancer, she said.  When I say recent, I mean ten days before his death.  There was nothing that could be done for him.

He also had roles on TV soaps All My Children and As the World Turns.  I remember him in the latter way back in the 1970s, when he played the role of Kevin Thompson.  He landed the Dex Dexter part on Dynasty in 1983 until the last regular episode in 1989.  In the reunion movie, his character was killed off since he didn't appear in it.

His uncle was actor George Nader.

The actor was born in Los Angeles and he started working in his teen years. 

His first role was in the movie Beach Party in 1963; he played Beach Boy. 

After that came similar films such as Muscle Beach Party, Bikini Beach, Pajama Party, Beach Blanket Bingo, Ski Party and How To Stuff A Wild Bikini.

He then landed a recurring role as Siddo ion the TV series Gidget with Sally Field from 1965 until 1966.

In the 1970s he had only one role: as Kevin Thompson on As The World Turns.

I have a DVD of the TV series Gidget.  I don't remember him being on the show.  I will have to check that out sometime.

I doubt the protests will do much good with these public officials.  Only voting them out will knock some sense into their heads that men have no business whatsoever in women's spaces.
