 The idiotic Texas law makes citizens bounty hunters, but the Biden administration plans to keep the law from going into effect.

A couple of deaths of note:

The Wire actor Michael K. Williams, 54, was found dead in his Brooklyn apartment.  He died of a suspected drug overdose:

After years of minor roles on TV and movies, Williams became a household name as Omar -- the gritty, streetwise and homosexual criminal on HBO's "The Wire" ... earning him critical acclaim and adoration from fans.

Williams would go on to star in several other hit HBO series' -- like "Boardwalk Empire," "The Night Of" and more recently "Lovecraft Country" -- as well as movies like "12 Years a Slave" and "Assassin's Creed."

One of the actor's trademarks was his signature facial scar -- the result of a bar fight he got involved in on his 25th birthday that almost killed him. According to Williams ... the scar helped to launch his acting career, leading to calls to do music videos and some minor work playing a thug in TV shows.

French actor Jean-Paul Belmondo, 88, known for Breathless and other films, has died according to his lawyer:

But he was best known for his breakthrough performance as the dangerous yet romantic criminal Michel in the 1960 film "Breathless," where he worked with film director Jean-Luc Godard and starred alongside American actress Jean Seberg.

Belmondo soon became a vanguard of "La Nouvelle Vague" or New Wave -- a French cinematic movement in the 1950s and 60s, where practitioners used experimental narrative and stylistic
