In what can only be described as good news for the planet, birthrates are dropping all over the world except perhaps for much of Africa.

There is nothing in it for women.  They get stuck doing all the shitwork at home plus having to earn a living.  More and more women are saying to hell with it all.

Obituary:  One-time Today co-host Jim Hartz, 82, has died.  He was co-host of the show when Barbara Walters still worked for NBC.  He was on the show in the mid-1970s.

Hartz died from COPD.

Snip:

Hartz was born on Feb. 3, 1940, in Tulsa, Okla., the fifth child of Rev. Marvin Dillard Hartz, an Assembly of God minister, and Helen Elvira (Potter) Hartz.

After college, he was hired as a reporter for KOTV in Tulsa and hosted “Sun Up,” the channel’s morning show. He progressed there to news director, then was tapped by NBC in New York.

He became anchor of the evening newscasts on WNBC, the network’s flagship local station. By 1974, Today came calling, and he took over the coveted slot next to Walters.

By 1976, Walters left to become ABC’s evening news coanchor, and Jane Pauley was brought aboard. Her low-key style was viewed by executives as the same as Hartz, and a determination was made to bring in Tom Brokaw for balance.

Katie Porter is a moron.  She doesn't even understand the difference between Medigap/Medicare Supplement and Medicare Advantage.  Both are handled by private companies.  The former is fee-for-service, while the latter is HMO/PPO, and you pay through the nose for that freedom of choice, let me tell you.
