Today has been one of the hardest days of my life because I had to have my beloved Lhasa apso, Duffy, put to sleep today. He had massive heart failure and was still not able to breathe very well outside of the oxygen cage. He was feeling very depressed. He died in my arms. Sheryl, Rob, and Molly were there with me. Molly had tears in her eyes knowing what was about to happen. She never left his side when he was doing poorly yesterday, and I had to take him to emergency.
The vet didn't think he had CHF, that something else was causing it, but so many of the symptoms were like what Sam had. I think if I had gotten to him a year ago, I could have had him on the cocktail for at least a couple of years. However, I wasn't sure he was suffering from the early effects of it.
The following are the last photos of Duffy, and he is with Molly:

Duffy certainly was a great little dog, Susie.
