You would have to pay me a fortune for me to live in Florida, Georgia, or the Carolinas. They always bear the brunt of hurricanes.
Thankfully here in the Rogue Valley, there weren't any big fires to speak of other than the wind blowing some smoke from northern California and Josephine County. This year wasn't bad, however, thanks to there having been a lot of rain through the spring and even into June. Hell, when I went to Idaho in the middle of June, there were still snow flurries up near Diamond Lake in the southern Oregon Cascades.
