Beginning her acting career more than two decades ago at the age of 24, Wersching quickly made a name for herself with appearances small but standout roles in shows such as General Hospital and Supernatural.
Eventually in 2009, the actress got her big break playing Renee in Cassar's long-running series 24, propelling her to TV stardom.
She would go on to grace several other prominent programs - including CSI, Blue bloods, and 2013's Dallas remake - with guest spots, before taking on more long-term roles in shows like Castle and The Vampire Diaries.

I am surprised this outfit isn't in the Idaho panhandle.
This "homeschool" nonsense is not about what's best for the kids. It is all about chaining women closer to the home.

Another obit: Actress Lisa Loring, 64, best known for playing in the 1960s television series The Addams Family, has died after suffering a massive stroke. That isn't old, and she was about three or four years younger than I am.
I remember when she grew up and was a very pretty young woman. She had a part in As the World Turns back in the 1980s playing Cricket Montgomery. She was on there a few years before leaving.
Snip:
Her daughter Vanessa Foumberg confirmed her mother's death to Variety, saying: 'She went peacefully with both her daughters holding her hands.'
After The Addams Family ended, Loring went on to appear in Phyllis Diller’s sitcom The Pruitts of Southampton.
She also had roles in The Girl From U.N.C.L.E., Fantasy Island and Barnaby Jones, before earning a recurring role as Cricket Montgomery on daytime soap As the World Turns from 1980 to 1983.
___
I believe John Astin is now the only surviving cast member from the series.
