This article from a few months ago has a definite anti-single woman slant and makes some unproven assertions that married people will always vote Republican or that any children these couples have will also be Republican. Despite the slant, single women are jettisoning marriage and kids, especially those who never marry.
Yes, married women have a much-higher standard of living, but they have to prostitute themselves to get it through marriage. And yes, it is a form of prostitution as a part of the transactional aspect. Men get "guaranteed" sexual access while women get the material support in exchange. There is no way around that fact. All the yammering about "love," "commitment" and "partnership" can't disguise the fundamental perversity of it. Marriage was created by and for men.
More and more women, especially the younger ones, don't see any real benefit to marriage despite all the laws privileging it in order to coerce women into it. Once women get married, they invariably get dumped on, and there is no way most men will ever change their attitude toward it and women.
There is little doubt it is evolving out of existence.
