It was still a good race although Sovereignty had been scratched earlier this week. Japan's Forever Young won today's race.
Sierra Leone was second and Fierceness was third.

Forever Young has Secretariat on both sides of his pedigree. He is also a descendant of Sunday Silence. It was a big mistake for that horse to have ever been sent to Japan in the first place.
