Obituary: 2000 Preakness winner Red Bullet, 29, who denied 2000 Kentucky Derby winner Fusaichi Pegasus a chance at a Triple Crown, has died. He died August 7, years after he was pensioned from stud duty in 2011.

In his fourth start, he ran second to eventual Kentucky Derby winner Fusaichi Pegasus in the Wood Memorial Stakes (G2) before defeating that rival in the Preakness.
