David Koch Had Great Taste in Women

The late billionaire David Koch, who died last year, sure knew how to pick 'em.  This is why you don't marry women half your age.  Julia was his first and only wife, having married her when he was in his fifties.  This grieving widow  is a piece of self-centered shit, if the lawsuit by the former bodyguard has any merit, but then again, the religion the Koch brothers followed, "libertarianism," is all about selfishness.  The chickens came home to roost on old David.

David and Julia Koch.  The love was one-sided apparently.

David had so much obscene wealth, he didn't even know his loving wife Julia bought a $40 MILLION dollar penthouse in NYC.  Julia was also screwing around on David, who was too sick to do anything about it.  This is according to the suit filed by former bodyguard Felicia Racine.

Julia basically killed him off, refusing a feeding tube for him thus basically starving the poor rich man to death.

I don't wish this kind of thing on anybody, not even David Koch:

Nurses are said to have told Racine: '(Julia) won't allow him to have a feeding tube, it's not right, he's gonna die, we are uncomfortable with it because he is no longer eating and is basically starving to death.'

The filing adds: 'Felicia believed that Julia had refused David Sr.'s feeding tube because Julia could not deal with David Sr. anymore and did not want his life prolonged further.'

Brother Charles is another story altogether.

It gets better:

According to Racine’s filing, a senior staffer at the security firm employed by the Koch family told Racine that Julia also commissioned a replica of a multimillion-dollar Amedeo Modigliani painting owned by the family so she could move the original to the new townhouse without her husband noticing.

...

“Mrs. Koch thinks she can belittle people and treat them like slaves, working them 17 hours a day,” Racine told The News while discussing the allegations in her complaint.

“It was difficult at first for me to step forward. I’m going up against a giant. But I feel like this is about fair treatment of employees. People are so scared to speak out, and nobody ever does anything. Nothing ever comes of it,” she said.

Racine should get a nice settlement from Koch's insurance company. It isn't like Julia Koch is going to miss anything.

More David Koch

Yes, my memory was right about that plane crash David Koch was in but survived.  The experience altered his life, but of course it wasn't enough.  He still caused a lot of damage to the country and the world, but he left more and more of the political shit to his evil brother Charles, the mastermind of the two, while David focused more on uncontroversial philanthropy such as giving millions of dollars to the arts.

Like all sociopaths, David Koch made life worse for others.  It is just that he and Charles had the obscene wealth to do far greater damage, all under the guise of "libertarianism."

Koch went by many titles — billionaire industrialist, businessman, philanthropist, entrepreneur, conservative activist, libertarian vice presidential candidate — and I expect we’ll see many of those thrown around today. But “villain” is the one that suited him best.

Indeed, such is the appropriate term for a profoundly wealthy man who relies on a shadowy network of political advocacy groups to sell unpopular, detrimental policies to unsuspecting voters for the purposes of personal gain.

Along with a 42 per cent stake in Koch Industries, David inherited what could be described as a pathological distaste for government from his father, a founding member of the far-right John Birch Society and a man who reportedly once built an oil refinery for Nazi Germany. Together with his brother Charles, David would use both to reshape America for the worse.
There are three books documenting the life and political activities of the Kochs that everybody should read:  Dark Money, Sons of Wichita, and, above all, Democracy in Chains, which is one disturbing book.

In the meantime, the insane pursuit of wealth isn't worth much if everybody on earth winds up dead in the process.

Obituary: David Koch

Noted "libertarian" or extreme right-wing fascist billionaire David Koch, 79, has reportedly died.  He had been in poor health recently, which only goes to show that money can't buy immortality.  However, the foundations he and his absolutely evil brother Charles created will carry on with their campaign of deceit and lies in order to give their families even more money without any kind of regulations.

David and his twin brother Bill were the youngest of the quartet of brothers, whose lives were recorded in the book, Sons of Wichita.  Of course, all these brothers were sons of the filthy rich Fred Koch, who in turn was a rabid John Bircher.  It is little wonder the boys, especially Charles and David, turned out to be sociopathic and dressed up their sociopathy with a less negative label called "libertarianism."

Various authors noted David had sort of a rude awakening when he was nearly killed in a plane crash a number of years ago.  He survived, and he spent more and more of his time on philanthropy on less controversial matters, leaving the fascistic bullshit more and more to his truly evil brother Charles, who sees himself as some second coming of Martin Luther, the Protestant Reformer.  Completely delusional and evil.

The organization sometimes split with the GOP under President Donald Trump. It launched a multimillion-dollar campaign last year promoting free trade and warning against tariffs.

David Koch himself ran as the Libertarian Party's vice presidential candidate in 1980. He and the party's presidential candidate, Ed Clark, won a little more than 1 percent of the vote.

Koch, a prostate cancer survivor, donated hundreds of millions of dollars to medical research. He was also a huge supporter of the arts in New York City, notably donating to Lincoln Center and $65 million to support a renovation of the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

When Koch was diagnosed with cancer 27 years ago, he was given five years to live, his brother said.

"David liked to say that a combination of brilliant doctors, state-of-the-art medications and his own stubbornness kept the cancer at bay," the brother's statement said. "We can all be grateful that it did, because he was able to touch so many more lives as a result."

Whether for good or for ill is a matter of opinion. Perhaps both.

More About the Kochs

Jane Mayer has a new book out about how the right-wing billionaires are having undue influence on our government. This NPR interview focuses on the Kochs:

I don't know if Mayer has anything new about them that wasn't already covered in the excellent Sons of Wichita. Regardless, her book, which just came out, might be worth looking into.

The Faces of Evil

This long piece doesn't actually say anything people who have looked into the Kochs don't already know. Their crackpot influence is EVERYWHERE, and I would argue since the two are batshit crazy and are among those who own the Libertarian and Republican parties, they have also influenced the Democratic Party as well.

These parasites, and that is what they are, are killing the American body politic with their insane political beliefs. They literally don't want to pay for anything at all but want even more for themselves. They are desciples of Ayn Rand's weird ideas which she formulated as a result of her having had some kind of developmental disorder (believed to be Asperger or something similar). These jerkwads are "worth" upwards of 50 billion EACH. They got it through inheritance, through outright theft of wages and salaries of employees, and through bribing politicians.

The most shocking part of the article, though, is mention of the fact there are now some 1,400 billionaires worldwide. This class of superrich exists as a direct result of economic policies designed to decimate and destroy working and middle class people and through outright theft against the people who actually create the wealth, the workers, by gutting their wages and salaries.

I can remember a mere 40 years ago there were only three or four billionaires in the entire WORLD. Forty years ago, you could actually name all of the billionaires in the world because there were so few of them. Let's see, there was H.L. Hunt, J. Paul Getty, (possibly) Howard Hughes, and Ross Perot. That was it. Even taking inflation into account, one cannot deny the rise of a parasitical class in the world whose numbers have greatly increased. It coincides with the rise of neoliberal, Friedmanite policies designed to destroy the working and middle class to create a parasitical class of superrich.

Anybody who thinks there isn't a class war by the few against everybody else hasn't been paying attention.

All Koched Up

Those Koch brothers are trying to destroy America in order to save it for them to plunder:

The Kochs think government is an obstacle to making money that should be removed, said Jim Steele, who with Don Barlett just released “The Betrayal of the American Dream.” The book accuses the “ruling elite” — including the Kochs — of impoverishing the American middle class by pushing initiatives such as deregulation, outsourcing and balanced budgets to enrich themselves.

The Kochs have spent more than three decades building a vast, sophisticated network of think tanks, university researchers and citizen groups to advocate for limited government, lower taxes and limited regulation.

“We feel that the views of the foundations that they support … have been really instrumental in undermining the economic well-being of the middle class,” Steele said. Free markets to the Kochs mean freedom to make money, Steele said.

“I think they view government as an intrusion in their liberty to make money,” he said. “Any government regulation is seen as an intrusion that would interfere with that process.”

Steele said the Kochs are using money they gleaned from lower taxes on dividends and on the wealthy to finance a disinformation campaign against Obama.

I've got to get that Barlett and Steele book. I'd about bet Bain and Mitt are in there because they are representative of what has happened to this country in the past thirty years.

The Kochs are pretty rotten, as we all know, but it's those who are less well-known, like Peter G. Peterson, who are downright evil because they are taken seriously by the idiots in Washington, including Obama.
