I have started to read a biography of actress Barbara Payton, and of course actor Tom Neal was a big part of her life. He turned out even worse than she did, as noted in this profile about him.

Former Democratic Senator Howard Metzenbaum, who represented Ohio for 19 years before retiring in 1994, has died at the age of 90.

Despite his immense wealth or because of it, he was a New Deal Democrat all the way.
